I broke down and got a Gentle Leader the other day.

For the longest time I held off, for multiple reasons.
Way back when, before we got Hadrian, I swore I would never need a gentle leader or even a choke collar because “I’d have the best dog ever.” Ha! Yes, I really said that. (I was obviously in la-la land.). Also, gentle leaders resemble muzzles, and I didn’t want anyone to think Hadrian was vicious and in need of muzzling. Nothing could be further from the truth!
Anyway, I finally came to terms with the fact that this 120-lb dog wasn’t fun to walk anymore. Not that he pulled me down the street, but God help me every time a squirrel ran across our path!
Well, after just two walks it’s a totally different experience. I even splurged on a matching leash. Gotta be fashionable, ya know!
It is of the utmost importance to have control of your dog for their safety, yours and others. If this is achieved you and your dog will have a happy, peaceful and rewarding relationship. I see nothing wrong with using tools to aid you in this goal. Hadrian knows he is greatly loved! Royal blue is definately his color….Prince Hadrian…..!
